A Loreto matriculant turned global voice for South African electronic music. After Loreto, KMAT trained in DJing at Boston College and completed a degree at Tshwane University of Technology, launching her professional career in 2020. Her debut EP Luminous Flame (2022) reached the top of South African digital charts; her viral hit “MKK (uMkhukhu)” earned Metro FM Music Awards nominations for Song of the Year and Best Viral Challenge. She was named DJ Mag “One To Watch” for 2024 and is the first-ever recipient of the Jägermeister Global Pass, which took her to the International Music Summit (IMS) Ibiza in April 2025 as a headlining DJ and speaker.
