The House System

To boost morale and develop team spirit, each learner and educator at Loreto is placed in one of three Houses. The Houses are named after Archangels in the Bible, and each has a different colour. The banners depicting the Archangels decorate the western wall of the school hall.

St Raphael "Healing of God."

It is through the gracious providence and love of God that we as Christians strive to be holy, like unto God.

St Gabriel "Strength of God."

Archangel Gabriel was sent to Mary as God’s messenger to make the annunciation that she would be the mother of the Redeemer.

St Raphael "Healing of God."

Archangel Raphael was sent to Tobias to heal him of his blindness.

St Michael "Like unto God."

House Prefects and how Houses earn points

House prefects are chosen to lead the three Houses. All learners earn House points through their academic performance, cultural and sports activities, attendance at school functions, participation in special events, and exemplary behaviour. Points accumulate across the full year. The House with the most points at the end of the year wins the House Trophy, presented at the annual prize-giving.
